My Day

Yesterday was quiet, a welcome change for me.  Quite often my days off consist of running here, there and everywhere but yesterday I was home alone, it was heaven.  I am someone who enjoys their own company, Jake's a bit like me in that respect too. So I did the house-work, and some baking, and lots of thinking ... do you ever get lost in your own thoughts... I do.

Then before I knew it, the boys were home and chaos reigned once more...

For some reason they both love to play in the hall making navigating the house a little tricky.

Oh, another thing that happened yesterday.  The Mr and I started something...

We stripped off the laminate that was covering our cupboards.  It was surprisingly easy to get off.  To be honest some of it was coming away anyway, especially on the doors nearest the oven.  Underneath MDF, a perfect surface for paint.

This may be a project that will take some time to complete, but I'm looking forward to seeing the results.
